Beach Haven Marlin and Tuna Club

Welcome

The Beach Haven Marlin & Tuna Club is located on the waterfront in beautiful Beach Haven, NJ. We are a fishing club with a rich history and a variety of members-only tournaments awarding over $31,000 in prizes annually. Our beautiful new clubhouse is a great place for social events, parties and a breathtaking sunset view throughout the year.

We are the proud home of The White Marlin Invitational -  "The Grand-daddy of all White Marlin Tournaments." We also host  the LBI Cup Striped Bass Tournament, as well as the Family Flukamania Tournament. Every year we have a Fish 'n Fun Excursion where we treat our Junior Anglers to a trip on the Carolynn Ann III to fish together.

We are currently enrolling new members, so if you are interested in finding out how to join, please check out our Membership page for more information!

A MESSAGE FROM THE COMMODORE

BHMTC Members

I’d like to think winter is finally over, however this March with the Nor’ Easter’s is making it hard to tell.  Soon we will have our Spring Cleanup at the Club house.  We can always use volunteers for this and all our events.  Volunteer registration for any of our club events can be done by logging into our club website at www.bhmtc.com.  Under the events section look for the grey “register” button under each event.  If you have any difficulty logging into our webpage or registering to volunteer for events please email us at bhmtc.@bhmtc.com.  Volunteers are needed again for everything from Bar Tending to serving food at Parties.  Please Volunteer.  We continue to welcome new members into the club and would like to encourage you to invite more new people to join.  For the 2018 season our club is waiving the $500 initiation fee so if you know someone who is interested in joining our club please encourage them to do so.  Membership is the number one way for us to continue to grow the club.  New Member Application forms can be found at the front desk of our clubhouse as well as on our website.

Thank you to everyone that took the time to answer the survey.  The results of which have been discussed in great depth at the Board Meetings.  Currently in the works for this year are a series of Fishing Seminars on different fisheries which will be fun and informative.  We also will strive to make the Parties even better with more activities during the parties as well as focusing on making sure everyone can identify each other and has the chance to meet everyone attending.  The Club will become more Child friendly starting with a baby changing station, more indoor and outdoor games for the kids, and during some of our events we will have supervised activities upstairs.  Once the season starts in full swing we will have the Bar open Friday and Saturday Nights and possibly Sunday Afternoons. With that being said we have some new bar tenders, however we still need more bar tenders to man the schedule.  We can teach you how to become one.  What a great way to meet tons of members.

This Past Season I saw more members hanging out at the Club after weigh- ins for various tournaments.  I would like to encourage more of this.  This is what the Club was built for.  Comradery, friendship, people with common goals, and the love of our sport, the sport of “Fishing”.  Even if you were not fishing that day. If you know there is a club weigh-in and you can swing by, please do.  These are the fun times that we remember when the winning fish was just edged out by a few points on the scales.  When your son or daughter records his or her personal best and is congratulated by experienced fishermen at the club.  Lasting memories are like these will stick with you.  This is your Club House.  Please Use it.

On the subject of Morrison’s being sold.  It didn’t happen and we will keep you informed.  Please do not give in to spreading any rumor’s as this will not benefit our club.  We have a committee dedicated to our best interest here.

They still say Spring is coming, so make sure to get your boats ready.  I am trying for April 1st this year. I heard the first keeper Striped Bass was caught locally already.  Enjoy another great season at the Beach Haven Marlin and Tuna Club.
