A MESSAGE FROM THE COMMODORE

Dear fellow members:  

As we start to shake off the cold and the fish start to bite, I would like to believe that spring is here. We are preparing the club for another great season. Spring clean-up and the Covered Dish/General meeting are right around the corner, April 27.

Once it's final, you will find the 2024 calendar on the Events Tab. The Angling, Tournament and Entertainment committees are hard at work to make it a blowout year.

With the full calendar of events, there will be plenty of opportunities to Volunteer. Remember as per the terms of membership, you must volunteer at least once a year for the first ten years of membership. This is a great way for members new and seasoned to get to meet new people and see what goes into putting on these events.

As the weather warms up and we kick off our events, I would encourage everyone to get out and enjoy the club. As we always say, "it’s your club too." This club was founded on the Friendship and Comradery of people with a common goal - the promotion, education, and advancement of the sport of fishing. 

This past Year we saw many new members join us, bringing our total membership to over 400 members, not including Junior and Intermediate. Membership is the best way to grow the club and achieve our goals. New Membership applications can be found on the website. Please encourage any friends that have been considering joining to do so.

We are preparing to start the major project of redoing the decks on the building, with the plan for the east/rear deck being done before the season.

Thank You all again for allowing me the Honor to be the Commodore of this historic Club. It is my goal and the goal of the entire board to make 2024 one of the best years on record, but that can't happen without all of you. So go get those boats ready! I hear there have been some keepers caught already and Enjoy another Great Year at the Beach Haven Marlin & Tuna Club.
